Unlocking Mobility: Natasha's Remarkable Ankle Restoration with the Articular Cartilage Paste Graft
Natasha's journey from debilitating ankle pain to newfound mobility is profound. Natasha conducted a global search for alternatives to ankle fusion, finding the only viable procedure to restore her ankle function at The Stone Clinic. Traveling from her home in Wales for the articular cartilage paste graft technique, her progress has been remarkable, and she's looking forward to pursuing activities she never thought possible. The demonstrated effectiveness of this cartilage regeneration technique is why the Stone Research Foundation team is focused on exploring new ways to further augment this method.

    I had a few arthoscopic cleanings of loose bodies, which were getting out of control. My bone was just crumbling! Finally, ended up with a partial knee replacement, 80% range of motion, NO crouching ability over that knee (super painful, feels like it will explode) and I think it's time for another surgery. I had the replacement at 25, and I'm now 31. It feels loose? painful, not good...

    for my condition my surgeon told me i had OCD and its very hidden behind my patella that he could barely see in the MRI. i had to do CT scan and theres a loose body detected. A month later i did the surgery but theres no loose body, the surgeon told me that my body has absorbed it. im actually confused bcoz the diagnosis was OCD patella osteochondral defect, i thought OCD and osteochondral defect are two different things?

    That gives me hope. I've been battling with OCD in my left knee since high school and have already had two surgeries on it. Just had another MRI yesterday and it seems that I might have to get an allograft surgery done. This condition is serious and if you or your kids feel discomfort as a young teen get it checked! I made the mistake of not getting it looked at by an orthopedic doctor when in high school. Now I look back 2 years from surgery and realize it cost me my dreams.

    Yes. I did my surgery almost a year ago. If one didn't get a surgery after tearing their ACL, they potentially can damage other "parts" inside the bad knee. In my case, I damaged my meniscus.

  • @veogoth
    @veogoth 11 лет назад

    Get a new doctor. THis condition is semi-curable (X-rays will never look quite right again, but lesion will reunite with femur and knee will have complete function and no pain).

  • @veogoth
    @veogoth 11 лет назад

    get an osteochondral allograft or a Paste Graft as described in the video. If you ignore the defect your knee will never function normal again. My OCD ridden knee is not and never will be normal again, but it has healed and it does have completely normal function (I can run 2 miles in less than 15 minutes and its my heart and lungs not my knee that keeps me from going faster) Also my lesion was 10-15 cm^2 (huge) and none of it was stable (4cm^2 loose body). If I could recover so can you

    if the bone hasn't been completely reabsorbed (loose body or no loose body) get the lesion pinned back in place and drilled for bleeding. If there is no bone left or if your surgeon tried the above method and it failed get an osteochondral allograft. I have this condition too and its clinically healed (not cured but healed), and I don't have many symptoms anymore. Knee feels a bit funny but thats it. I can go running and weight lifting again, fun fact:I had adult OCD grades3 &4 so theres hope

    @ZambaaProductions, actually the treatment technique that was referred to is Articular Cartilage paste grafting which Dr. Stone has been using for over a decade to treat cartilage defects. The procedure uses a mixture of a patients own cartilage from the intercondylar notch and bone marrow to "pack" into the defect area. You can check out the website at stone clinic dot com forward slash osteochondritis-dissecans (sorry youtube doesn't allow me to place links) to learn more. Thanks
